Project Production#
Just as with project purchasing, plant engineering also offers the opportunity to initiate production or assembly processes directly from the project planning lines.
You have the following options available:
Order Planning#
You can access sales order planning via the project planning lines, which gives you the option to create a production order in the same way as for a sales order.
The production order number is shown in the Reserved by field. By clicking on the number, you can open and view the document.
Requisition Worksheet#
Via Project Transfer to Requisition Worksheet function, you have the option to create a production order via the Requisition Worksheet. To do this, select "Actions > Purchase Documents > Requisition Worksheet" from the ribbon in the project planning line.
The production document number is shown in the Reserved by field. By clicking on the number, you can open and view the document.
Assembly Order#
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central1 enables, via Assembly Orders, that an assembly order for an assembly item can be generated directly from a sales order. During the sales shipment, the assembly order is posted automatically in the background.
This functionality has been transferred to plant engineering. You can enter the assembly item directly in a project planning line and, using the fields Qty. to Assemble to Order and Qty. to Asm. to Order (Base) create the assembly order.
The document number of the assembly order can be viewed in the Reserved by field, and the document can be open from there.
If a sales order with the corresponding line already exists in the system, it can be viewed via the fields Sales Document Type = Order and Sales Document No..
