Manufacturing#
The following features expand standard Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central1 functionality to provide additional options to those working in your organization’s production department.
Released Orders Only: planning worksheets#
To streamline your scheduling process, you can run the Calculate Regenerative Plan action from a planning worksheet ribbon to have the system fill in current item demand on the lines according to the planning parameters you’ve set and the number of orders that you’ve received from your customers.
What the standard function doesn’t consider, however, is whether these orders have progressed far enough in the system. To limit demand calculations to sales orders that have already been released, turn on the Released Orders Only toggle when you see the request page of the report.
Set times for standard tasks#
To simplify the completion of manufacturing processes, you can set up a list of standard tasks and add them to operations.
In trade365, you can also specify how long each task is supposed to take:
- Choose the Search icon, enter Standard Tasks, and then choose the related link.
- Select the task that you want to specify times for.
- On the ribbon, choose Std. Task > Routing Sheet Times and fill in the fields as necessary.
The times you specify are then entered by the system on all routing lines the task code is selected on so that you know when the related production order is completed. You can, however, still change a time field manually, if needed.
