Delete Default Dimension#

Dimensions are managed on WBS lines and budget lines in the same way as document lines. The dimensions are taken from the associated project, the work package and the item, resource or G/L account used. These are basically planning dimensions.

If the switch(es) "Use WBS Line Dim. as Default" and/or "Use Budget Line Dim. as Default" is/are set in the project setup, these planning dimensions may "play a part" in dimension determination in book sheet lines and document lines. To do this, they must be treated as default dimensions of master data (article, resource, etc.). For this reason, they are temporarily transferred to the table of default dimensions for dimension determination in book sheet rows and document rows and deleted again after dimension determination.

Unfortunately, it can happen that the deletion does not work and the default dimensions of the WBS and budget lines are still listed there. This is an unclean data constellation.

The "Delete Default Dimension from Job WBS and Budget Line" batch is available for cleaning up. This can be started via the user search. Once started, the number of default dimensions found is displayed with the option to delete them immediately.
