Flag insufficient demand#
The Flag insufficient demand in KUMAVISION factory365 extends the production order of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central1 with the visualization of planning and capacity availability as well as the availability for order picking.
These are available in the production order overviews and in the production order lines ("MRP availability", "Capacitive availability" and "Picking availability") as well as in the production order components ("MRP availability" and "Picking availability") and the production order routing ("Capacitive availability") in the status: Planned, Firmly planned and Released.
The availability traffic light for picking is also available in the picking worksheets, in the "Get logistics document" function, in the overview of assembly orders and in the assembly order lines.
The "Calculate availability traffic light" function is available in the above overviews to determine the MRP and capacity availability. To determine the availability for picking, the "Calculate availability traffic light" function must be executed with the "Picking traffic light" option.
Note
Please note that availability is not calculated at runtime.
Note
Please note that the calculation is not performed automatically when "Update lines in E+D order".
Setup#
Traffic Light Assigment Setups#
The availability traffic light is configured by the system. Initial images have been stored for the defined values listed below:
Availability traffic light value | Traffic light symbol, example* |
---|---|
Empty | |
Green Check | ![]() |
Blue | ![]() |
Green | ![]() |
Yellow | ![]() |
Yellow Exclamation Mark | ![]() |
Red Exclamation Mark | ![]() |
Note
The traffic light symbol examples have a size of 16x16px.
You can open the "Availability traffic light setup" via the user search.
It is possible to change the screens for the availability traffic light values. In addition, the "Reset traffic light symbols" function can be used to reset the "Availability traffic light setup" to its original state.
Threshold values#
Threshold values Minimum Threshold % and Maximum Threshold % can be stored hierarchically at the Maschine Center, Work Center and/or the Work Center Groups.
Open the Maschine Center or the Work Center via the search and open the respective card.
You can store the threshold values Minimum Threshold % and Maximum Threshold % on the Traffic Light Control FastTab.
To store the threshold values in the department, call up the Departments via the search and select Edit list".
Further information can be found under: Set up workstations and workstation groups.
Traffic Light Control#
Dispositiv#
MRP availability is determined on the basis of item availability by event and reservations.
The "Remaining stock quantity" field has been added to the item availability by event. The field shows the item availability without planned receipts. The quantity includes all requirements, but does not take into account the expected receipt and is used for the subsequent definition.
Assemblies inherit the worst component result.
The definition of the "dispositive availability traffic light" is regulated as follows:
Option | Description | Definition of | Traffic light symbol Example* |
---|---|---|---|
Empty | not calculated | ||
Green | Reservation against stock | Reservation against article items | ![]() |
Green | sufficiently available on date (in stock) | Availability balance: positive or results in 0 Remaining stock: positive or results in 0 |
![]() |
Yellow | Reservation against receipt | Reservation against order or relocation | ![]() |
Yellow | Sufficiently available on date (by receipt) | Availability balance: positive or results in 0 Remaining stock: negative |
![]() |
Warning | Reservation against receipt with reservation conflict | Reservation against order or stock transfer with reservation conflict | ![]() |
Red | not available on date | Availability balance: negative | ![]() |
Note
* The traffic light symbols can be changed in the "Availability traffic light setup".
Capacitive#
Without Threshold values#
The basis for determining the capacitive availability is the "capacity" based on the calendar items compared to the "allocated capacity (FA capacity requirement)".
Assemblies inherit the worst component result.
The definition of the "capacitive availability traffic light" without setting threshold values is regulated as follows:
Option | Description "without threshold values" |
Traffic light symbol Example* |
---|---|---|
Empty | not calculated | |
Green | "Allocated capacity" is less than or equal to the "Capacity" | ![]() |
Red | "Allocated capacity" is greater than "Capacity" | ![]() |
Note
* The traffic light symbols can be changed in the "Availability traffic light setup".
With Threshold values#
The basis for determining the capacity availability is the "Capacity (min.)" and "Capacity (max.)", which are calculated using the "Capacity" based on the calendar items and the threshold values "Capacity (min.) %" and "Capacity (max.) %" stored at the department, work center group or work center, compared to the "Assigned capacity (FA capacity requirement)".
The calculation is made with the "Calculate availability traffic light" as follows:
Field | Formula | Example |
---|---|---|
"Capacity (min.)" | "Capacity" - ("Capacity" x "Capacity (min.) %" / 100 ) | 8 - (8 x 20/100) = 6,4 |
"Capacity (max.)" | "Capacity" + ("Capacity" x "Capacity (max.) %" / 100 ) | 8 + (8 x 20/100) = 9,6 |
Assemblies inherit the "worse" component result.
The definition of the "Capacitive availability traffic light" with the establishment of threshold values is defined as follows:
Option | Description "with threshold value" |
Traffic light symbol Example* |
---|---|---|
Empty | not calculated | |
Green | "Allocated capacity" is less than the "Capacity (min.)" | ![]() |
Yellow | "Allocated capacity" is equal to or greater than the "Capacity (min.)" and less than or equal to the "Capacity (max.)" | ![]() |
Red | "Allocated capacity" is greater than the "Capacity (max.)" | ![]() |
Note
* The traffic light symbols must be stored in "Availability traffic light setup".
Warehouse Picks#
Note
The "Picking availability traffic light is only calculated in conjunction with a warehouse location.
Pick-Worksheet#
To control the "Picking" availability traffic light, the remaining quantity for each component is compared with the quantity available for picking. The traffic light control is based on the following definition:
Option | Description "with threshold value" |
Traffic light symbol Example* |
---|---|---|
Green | "Avail. Quantity for commiss." >= "Residual quantity" | ![]() |
Yellow | "Avail. Quantity for commiss." < "Residual quantity" | ![]() |
Red | "Avail. Quantity for commiss" <= 0 | ![]() |
The picking traffic light is calculated manually using the "Calculate availability traffic light" function including the "Picking traffic light" option.
Note
If you are working without reservations, the MRP availability traffic light could indicate that there is no stock available, while the picking traffic light nevertheless indicates that picking is possible.
Production Order#
Production Order Component#
If a component is an assembly (made-to-order production - not outsourced), it is not taken into account during picking and no traffic light symbol is displayed.
If the booking method in the component line is set to "Forward" or "Backward", no picking is necessary and no traffic light symbol is displayed.
If no storage location is assigned in the component line, no traffic light symbol appears either. Reservations are taken into account when the picking traffic light is displayed.
The traffic light control is based on the following definition:
Option | Description | Traffic light symbol Example* |
---|---|---|
Empty | No order picking necessary (see above) | |
Green Check (fully commissioned) |
"Quantity picked" >= "Expected quantity" or residual quantity = 0 | ![]() |
Blue (in order picking) |
Total quantity picking line (Total remaining quantity in order picking or warehouse picking) >= "Expected quantity" - "Quantity picked" | ![]() |
Green | "Avail. Quantity for commiss." > = ("Expected quantity" - "Quantity picked" - Total quantity picking line) | ![]() |
Yellow | "Avail. Quantity for commiss." < ("Expected quantity" - "Quantity picked" - Total quantity picking line) | ![]() |
Red with exclamation mark | "Avail. Quantity for commiss." = 0 and "Quantity picked" = 0 und Summe Menge Kommissionierzeile = 0 | ![]() |
The picking traffic light is calculated manually using the "Calculate availability traffic light" function including the "Picking traffic light" option.
Production Order Line#
The result from the production order components is inherited in the same way as the availability traffic lights in the production order line.
Production Order Header#
The result of the top production order line / level 0 is passed on to the production order header in the same way as the availability traffic lights.
Assembly Order#
Assembly order line with the type: Item
The calculation for the "value" of the picking traffic light in the assembly order lines is similar to the production order component line, but the "quantity" is used for the calculation instead of the "expected quantity".
The picking traffic light is calculated manually using the "Calculate availability traffic light" function including the "Picking traffic light" option.
Assembly Order Header#
The "worst" result from the assembly order lines is passed on to the assembly order header.
Get logistics document function#
The picking traffic light is displayed here with the value from the production order header or assembly order header if the production order or assembly order was previously calculated using the "Calculate availability traffic light" function including the "Picking traffic light" option.
